East Cowton Solar Farm will help combat climate change and improve the UK’s energy security by generating clean, renewable energy. The solar farm would have a solar capacity of 28 megawatts (MWp) for distribution to the National Grid. This is equivalent to meeting the annual electricity needs of approximately 10,370 average UK homes. This is the equivalent of saving approximately 14,572 tonnes of CO2 each year, the equivalent of taking around 7,220 petrol cars off the road each year.
